Brittany Dawn Nelson (born around 1991/1992, formerly Davis and Greisen) is an American former businesswoman and social media star. In 2019, she rose to prominence as an online fitness instructor and self-proclaimed nutritional expert who provided services through her company, Brittany Dawn Fitness LLC.

She allegedly marketed diet plans, personalized exercise training, and other things clients did not accept well. The incident prompted the Texas Attorney General to initiate a lawsuit against Dawn for misleading Texas consumers about her services. The state of Texas has filed a lawsuit against fitness influencer Brittany Dawn Davis for allegedly misleading people suffering from eating disorders.

In addition to misleading practices, the socialite should have kept promises to customers about specialized nutrition regimens. Dawn recently shifted from fitness-based material to content that resonates with Christian ideals for her following.

why state of texas filed the complaint against fitness influencer brittany dawn

The state of Texas filed the complaint in February 2022, alleging that Davis began selling thousands of allegedly personalized online health and exercise programs ranging in price from $92 to $300 in 2014. Davis positioned herself on social media as a health and fitness expert, even dubbing herself an eating disorder soldier. Which made her clients believe she had “special training” on the subject — a ploy common among fitness influencers.

According to state filings, at least 14 of Davis’ customers had eating disorders that Davis failed to address in her “personalized” health plans adequately. In 2018, Davis’ customers began venting about her workout regimens in a now-private Facebook group named “Brittany Dawn Fitness Business Complaints. Davis addressed the accusations in a now-deleted apology video in February 2019, stating she’s sincerely sorry for any harm. That month, she went on Good Morning America to accept “full responsibility” for her “mistake.”

Davis took a brief hiatus from social media before returning in November 2019 to reveal her rebranding to Christianity content – thereby ending her accountability era. “My fitness and health no longer define my identity. “I find my identity in Christ”
